Resuming Operations

The Atrium@MIP is reopening to visitors on weekdays from 7 AM to 6 PM beginning August 3rd, 2021. We are starting work on preparations for an opening gala event for the currently hanging Exhibit 32. That will of course depend on whether things can continue to open up over the next few months. That event is scheduled for November 25th, 2021 from 7 to 9 PM. After that, we expect to be back on track with our normal schedule of 3 exhibits per year.

300 Works Sold!

With the sale of the acrylic Muskoka Lake by Jolanta Stanisz, we’ve now recorded 300 works sold for a total of just over $100,000. The current exhibit also has the 6,000th work that we’ve exhibited. We’re looking forward to the end of COVID-19 restrictions and getting back to our 4-month exhibit cycle. Until then, those of us at MIP continue to enjoy the works that are here.

COVID-19 Update

Almost all of our artists have agreed to let their work remain at MIP through the next exhibit cycle which ends in late October. We’re hoping that the Atrium@MIP opens to the public before then so that people can view the art. It is hard to imagine having another opening gala until we get through this pandemic. We’re just going to have to be patient and look forward to the time when we can do that again.

COVID-19 Disruption

Our 32nd Exhibit is installed and looks great, but the Atrium at MIP is not open to visitors. Our AWP board is starting to look at our options for the next few months. The current exhibit would normally end around June 23rd, 2020 with exhibiting artists picking up their work on the 25th. We’ll post further updates as we get closer to those dates to let you know if that plan needs to change and what options we are offering so that this exhibit ultimately gets the exposure it deserves.

April 2nd Gala Postponed Indefinitely

The scheduled opening gala for our 32nd Exhibit has been postponed indefinitely. We are installing the show as planned this weekend on the newly painted walls here at the Innovation Park, and we expect to have brochures printed by the beginning of April.

We do hope to be able to celebrate this exhibit before it comes down in late June, but we’ll have to see if things are getting back to normal by then.

We’ll post more announcements as we figure things out. Stay safe everyone!

Exhibit 30 is ready for viewing

All of the art is installed along with the artist statements and artwork labels. The art map has been uploaded so that the location for each piece of art is shown with the image on the gallery page for each artist. The brochure isn’t ready yet, but we’re working on it to be ready for the opening gala on August 1st. See you then!
