The feature artist of this exhibition is Colleen Reid. Reid’s artwork explores the ideas of nature, beauty and the man-made world as well as their intertwined relationships. In Reid’s most recent series of works on display now at MIP, she has been exploring the beauty of historical architecture in interaction with nature. Through her art, Reid hopes to underline the importance of our historic buildings as well as the power of our natural environment, and the importance of our protection of both. Reid considers herself fortunate to live in Hamilton, a city rich with both historic architecture and nature.
